About Erin

Hello! I'm Erin, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I love making soap and other bodycare products, sewing, knitting, and many other crafts. My passions include animal rights, environmental issues, and natural birth and breastfeeding education. My partner Greg and I have a wonderful son Benjamin, who I am lucky to be able to stay home with every day! Selling my creations allows me to be a WAHM (work at home mom), and to do what I love most.

About my soaps

I have been making soap for nearly 10 years now, and have learned a lot through the process. Different oil combinations create very different soaps. Each oil brings different qualities to a bar of soap, and I've tried many combinations to come up with the most moisturizing, long-lasting bars! I use only vegetable oils, never animal fats (lard, tallow). My soaps are scented with natural essential oils, with additives such as jojoba beads, clays, pumice, apricot seeds, ground oatmeal, or flower buds. In some of my specialty bars, I use olive oil that has been infused with a certain herb to retain the properties of that herb in the soap (such as the Chamomile soap, which was infused with Chamomile flowers).

Although I try to maintain consistency, every soap is different. I make small batches, and each batch may vary somewhat in the colour or scent of the bar. This is just the nature of a handmade product!
